Milwaukee School of Engineering will hold its Spring Commencement on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at the Kern Center, 1245 N. Broadway.
Nearly 500 students will receive their bachelor’s or master’s degrees during two ceremonies: at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Visit msoe.edu/commencement for ceremony details.

香港六合彩资料图 Regent Richard Galling will receive an Honorary Doctor of Engineering from 香港六合彩资料图 and deliver the keynote address during the afternoon ceremony. Galling is president emeritus and senior advisor to Hammes Company Healthcare LLC, which he co-founded with John Hammes in 1992. The company is the nation’s leading health care facility development and project management company with 14 offices from coast to coast. Galling is considered a leading national expert on the planning and development of hospitals, ambulatory facilities and medical office buildings having personally directed the development of more than 100 facilities around the world.
Earlier in his career, Galling was the Director of Development for the Henry S. Reuss Federal Plaza and the corporate headquarters of Northwestern Mutual Life and served in the same capacity for the University Place mixed-use development in Charlotte, North Carolina.
He holds a B.S. in Architectural and Building Construction Engineering Technology and is licensed in Wisconsin as an Architect and Professional Engineer. Galling is a board member and chairman of the development committee for the Three Harbors Council of Scouting America and has served on the board of the Milwaukee Rescue Mission for the last nine years and as president from 2015-17. Blake Moret, Chairman and CEO of Rockwell Automation, will deliver the keynote address during the morning ceremony. Rockwell is the world’s largest company dedicated to industrial automation and digital transformation. Headquartered in Milwaukee, it brings the Connected Enterprise to life through more than 27,000 employees around the world. Under Moret’s leadership, Rockwell combines deep industry expertise and technology to help its customers and their people be more resilient, agile, and sustainable.
Moret started his career at Rockwell as an engineering intern in their Missile Systems Division and joined Rockwell’s Allen-Bradley subsidiary after graduating from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Moret has built his career with the company and has held leadership positions across multiple businesses and functions, including international assignments in Europe and Canada. Moret became CEO on July 1, 2016, and was elected Chairman of the Board effective January 1, 2018. He is passionate about workforce development and considers the creation of the Academy of Advanced Manufacturing for U.S. veterans returning to civilian life to be one of the highlights of his career.
Moret is currently the vice chair of the National Association of Manufacturing. He is also a board member and chairman of the Health and Retirement Committee of the Business Roundtable. He co-chairs the World Economic Forum’s Advanced Manufacturing Community of CEOs. Moret also serves on the board of the Advanced Regenerative Medicine Institute (ARMI). ARMI is a member-based, nonprofit organization whose mission is to advance the bioeconomy of the United States.
Moret is originally from Atlanta, Georgia and resides in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
